Woohoo! Its Sunday again and today we had plans to go East Coast Park for roller blading. Met up with Hao Xin at Toa Payoh at around 2pm before we head to East Coast Park. Reached there at around 3pm, the supposedly specified meeting time... but Arthur and gang was late. When we called them, they were still driving along Jurong area. They reached around 3.30pm and we deposited our valuables in his car.
Its been ages since I last blade. They all have their own blades and I had to rent mine. Was queueing for the roller blades when I realize Joycelyn was infront of me! She is now working in Citibank... I didn't really had the chance to chat with her after I graduated. It's always nice to bump into old friends. =) After paying for the rented shoes, I was so excited getting myself into them that I gripped the shoelace so hard that it cut my little finger. Luckily a hot babe in bikini was kind enough to offer me tissues. =)
Cindy was the only one who couldn't blade very well and poor Bob had to accompany her and teach her. Arthur was better but have more room for improvements... =Þ so Hao Xin and me just blade at our own pace cruising our way to Section A of East Coast Park. I stopped by the Jetty and went to enjoy the sea breeze... I've always loved the seaside, watching the horizon, enjoying the rythmic music of waves hitting the break-water, a pity I don't do this often cos its too far and I'm too lazy to make the trip down. Ha ha.
As I reached Section A of the park, I was reminded of the night cycling trip that I had with my Army mates (Kelvin, U-Xuan, Cheng Yong, Seng Boon and Daryl). We rented our bikes at Bishan Park that fateful night, and I lead them all the way to East Coast Park Section A, bashing through some forrested vegetation, a very desolated route not known by many. Its an isolated shortcut linking East Coast Park to Kallang area. As it was too dark that night, I missed a turn and mislead them to a swampy area the first try. Poor Seng Boon who was the garang one infront, unfortunately had his shoes stuck in mud, and he to threw them to buy a pair of slippers when we reached ECP. Well, section A of ECP is pretty different now.
At one point of blading, Cindy needed to go to the washroom. Ignoring advice from Bob, she took of her blades and went to the washroom with her socks on. When she came out, her socks were wet and dirty and she couldn't wear her roller blades back. We decided to call it a day and head back to our starting point. However, it was abit far... so Cindy decided to carry the roller blades in her arms and ran all the way back with only socks on her feet. It was a pretty hilarious sight and I overheard someone saying, "Look, Its the Amazing Race!..." Ha ha. Sorry for posting this here... hee hee. =Þ
We rested at Mac Donalds before heading to a Hong Kong Dim Sum Cafe along Marine Parade. Wasn't really familiar with the place, and thus couldn't state the shop and street name. The food there taste good though. Yes, as usual... I was forced to finish 2 of the chicken drumlet. Argh...!
End of day... Below are some shots I took at the Jetty using my handphone. Couldn't use my camera as I dont feel safe carrying it around while blading.

These are some shots that Hao Xin took, using my camera while on the bus towards East Coast Park. =)
