Lots of things to be said, but cant really find the time.
Friends have been asking about my blog site, thus I guess I will have to continue updating this blog again.
This is a new year, and proabably my first post for this year, and thus will not update about any stuffs that happened before today.
Updated a new link "MSN spaces", where I post my photos. If you gals/guys are ever interested, can go there can take a look. (:
Some of the several changes includes the shift to New Blogger, widget to play Sudoku, and a calendar listing the days that I will be occupied.

Day 1 - The Day With The Rush
The Arrival
*Damnit, Just realize that a posts can only have a maximum of 8 photos... Stupid blog*
We were assigned window seats and Haoxin was kind enough to offer me the window seat. =) It was a long flight of seven hours and I pretty much slept through the journey. Before landing, he bet with me if the plane would land within seven minutes and I got it wrong, awww. Even the flight there was enjoyable and memorable, argh... heehee.
Due to the stupid delay of our flight, we reached Sydney airport around 1530hrs. We were supposed to be meeting Yadan (Haoxin's friend, also known as Adam who is taking his Masters in Australia) at the airport who has helped to make preparations for our 2 day programmes in Sydney. But due to the stupid delay, he waited 3 hours for us since 12 noon. Poor him. =(
I was estactic even till I stepped into Syndey Airport, the echoes in my mind was like, "Woohoo! My first trip to Australia! With my close friend some more...! Ha ha." So many things that I wanted to jot down, i.e, the movies I watched onboard the plane, the stuffs that I ate etc, but I have been really busy for the past few days that I took too long to blog that I have forgotten some of the minor details. Haiz. Anyway, I went to the information booth to get some Sydney guides while Haoxin went to the gents to wear his contact lens. While queueing up at the customs, I was telling Haoxin how my father got strip seached while travelling when he was young. After collecting our baggage and making our way to the exit, the customs officer stopped me and Haoxin requesting a search on our baggage. Damnit, just because I looked rugged with unshaven stub for 1 night and they mistook me for a punk. They did a thorough check of my bag, even asking me about the notes I written on my 'what to bring' checklist. Fortunately there wasn't any strip search for us.
The moment we step out of the exit, we each were given a goodie bag, compliments of Sydney Airport, and warmly greeted by Haoxin's friend, Adam! =) Something that I noticed about toilets in Sydney Airport, they have vending machine selling condoms at only 1AUD... only to realize most toilets and hostels in Australia have them. The weather is Sydney was extremely cool today, with only 17°C, just like walking with airconditioning in the streets. =)
The Streets
We first took a cab to Hurstville, where we will be depositing our baggage at Adam's friend's apartment. Once reaching his friend's place, we were greeted by 2 really friendly girls. (Grace and the other whose name I forgot, paiseh) Depositing our baggage, and packing necessary stuffs for our 2 days stay in Sydney in our backpack, we made our way to the taxi stand just outside the railway station. The taxi took us to Sydnsy central where the activities for our first day in Sydney first begun!
We first stopped by Queen Victoria Building, where we did a little bit of window shopping. Before entering the building, how can we not take a few photos of our surroundings? =)
Majestic Queen Victoria Building with lots of boutiques. Shopping time...!

Stop moving when taking photo!

Forgot what is the building behind me, but look at the purplish tree. =)

The D.N.B, hee hee. =Þ

Eh... Dont block me.

Haoxin, and my new friends Grace and Adam! =D

Aww... so suave. Ha ha.

The Clocks
What greeted us inside Queen Victoria Building was something unexpected. It has an old colonial design, impressively decorated with lights and coloured-glass. The interior was magnificent with ancient looking elevators (the one that you see in the Superman Return movie), and something that caught my attention was the numerous clocks this building has. I was too excited and busy taking photos that I didn't really slow down and observe the design and interior. Furthermore, we were in a rush and didn't really had the chance to visit all the boutiques. However, most of the shops are selling branded goods that I had no intention of buying.

Clock No.1

Queen Victoria.

We stopped by the second clock that we see dangling from the ceiling. To have a clearer view of the clock, we went to the top floor of Queen Victoria Building where Grace did a little introduction on the story behind this particular clock.
More Clocks...

Story behind the clocks...

And more Clocks...?

Clocks Again? Neh, it is the same one...

The Chinese
The gents in Queen Victoria Building is also very unique. The urinals are actually facing each other in a square rather than the usual design seen in Singapore. Eh... thus you can actually see the guy opposite you while peeing... With not much stuffs in mind to buy and the rush for time, we stayed there for less than half an hour.
After the visit at Queen Victoria Building, Adam and Grace took us to Sydney Chinatown. While walking along the streets of Sydney Central, I notice several fast food restaurants, with one that resembles 'Burger King' with its unique logo. However, here in Austrlia, it is called 'Hungry Jacks'.
Burger King?

Before heading to Sydney's Chinatown, we made a detour to Sydney Tower first. Realizing that we might not have enough time to go up the tower, we only took photos from the building across the tower. =( Damnit, so rushed that we don't have ample time to fully tour each places of interest... can only glance and leave.
Sydney Tower

Not knowing the route well, Haoxin and me basically followed Adam and Grace who leads us around the area. Cant really remember the route we taken, but we basically snaked around the city area, had ice-cream when the temperature was less than 15°C before we reached Sydney's Chinatown. It wasn't a big area like I had expected. In fact, it is only a small stretch of shops along a street. Mostly chinese restaurants and shops selling souvenirs, we didn't stay long as there is nothing much to see.
China Town!

Day 0 - The Day With The Delay
The Stupid Delay
This is one of the most exciting day of my life (at this point of time) as this will be the first time I actually go travelling abroad with one of my closest friend. It has always been my dream to go overseas for a trip with my close friends after graduation. Finally after 1 year and couple of months that this dream can be fulfilled. The closest feeling to this would be the time when I went on a cruise with my other close friends Marilyn and Alvin, and other classmates Hui Shan, Li Min and Guo Quan after graduating from YJC before the guys got enlisted for National Service.
We were really enthusiastic about this trip and has planned the journey weeks before today. The planning involves booking of domestic flight tickets since we will be flying to 2 other states in Australia, prior researching of backpackers hostel and booking of accomodation, information regarding rental of cars and driving in Australia, application of Visa, viewing and studying maps, understanding the rail and various transport in Australia, stuffs to bring, buying of new shoes to be worn there, etc... (The writing of this post actually brings back the excitment then! Man, how I wish time will go back to the day before the flight so that I can go to Australia again!)
We left home at around 2123hrs... Hao Xin took a cab from Yio Chu Kang, picking me up at Toa Payoh before heading to the airport together. We met with a really friendly taxi driver, and throughout the journey, the uncle was talking about his past visits to several places in China, his immigration to Malaysia and how he enjoyed his life in Sabah where the people are more friendly.
Reaching Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 at 2204hrs, we were greeted with something unpleasant as we scanned the departure board for our check-in rows. The original departure time for our flight was 21st October 2006, 0030hrs. However, the departure time displayed beside our Flight no. SQ231 showed 0345hrs instead. We queued at the designated check-in row and learnt from the SIA staff at the counter that they scheduled a last minute change of aircraft, resulting in a 3 hours delay. They actually offered volunteers who are willing to take the next flight to Sydney a refund of $$500 and an upgrade in the class of travel. The offer sounds really good! If we accepted the offer, we are basically paying for the price of only 1 air ticket since we are getting back a refund of $$1000. (The air ticket we paid per person to Australia is S$1063) I have always heard about flight delay in movies and shows, never did I expect it to happen the first time I travel abroad. However, we have made reservations of cruise in Sydney on the first night, its not possible for us to accept the offer. Furthermore, such an offer will only depletes us the time we have in Australia.
The Wait
With time to kill after check-in, we decided to chill out at Coffee Bean. It took a total of 15 mins waiting time for the staffs to actually get the drinks. Worst of all, the staff taking the orders was a dumb freak. Hao Xin ordered a cup of ice blended drink and yet the staff actually asked 3 times, "Do you want it hot or cold"? Duh...
We left Coffee Bean around 2304hrs and go shopping for Duty Free stuffs. Shop not for ourselves, but for 2 ladies in Sydney. Yadan (Hao Xin's friend from China whom we are meeting in Sydney) has arranged activities for our 2 days stay in Sydney with the help of 2 ladies. In return, we decided to buy something for them. It wasn't easy shopping for girls... firstly, we dont know them or their taste, and bringing food into Australia might be a problem. Thus we settled for 2 scarfs each costing S$20.
There's nothing much inside too... Most of them are selling perfumes, liquors or chocolates. We stayed at the Koi Pond for a while before I suggest taking a look at the Movie lounge. The Movie lounge looks like a miniature cinema with perhaps 5 to 6 rows of seats. They are basically playing movies from Star Movies and it happened to be screening "Creep"... A Horror show about people trapped in a London underground subway station. Nasty, gory scenes... pure disgusting movie. But somehow, I've developed a liking for scary movies recently and has the urge to watch them in cinema. Saw III screening soon! Ha ha. =Þ
0150hrs, the movie ended and we have roughly a couple more hours to spare. Noticed that Hao Xin was dozing away, we decided to find a quiet spot where we can catch a nap. Found a corner beside an escalator outside gate F50. Put down our things, Hao Xin lay down and sleep, while I decided to stay awake to look after the belongings.
Changi Airport at 0153 hrs.

Trying to stay awake looking after the things...

While Hao Xin sleeps soundly!

Fading Light
Went to Frances House in the afternoon with several of DBS staffs to look at her baby girl. She looks really cute and sweet, but she seems to be afraid of me. Or rather, I'm afraid of her. Whenever I walk near to take a closer look at her, she will starts frowning and seems she is about to cry. It was a nice afternoon as I got to chance to catch up with some of them, people like Wendy and Choy Eng. =)
Was supposed to catch a Greek movie at Vivo City and Choy Eng was kind enough to give me a lift to the nearest bus stop that has bus service to Harbour Front.

BBQ
Its been quite a while since I last had a bbq session which was some time in late July this year. This time round, the bbq was at Season Park. Reached around 7pm to help set up the fire and prepare the food while waiting for the host to arrive as he went for a session of soccer.
Enjoyable, peacful breezy night... yet my mind is in a turmoil. Everything seems to be in a mess at the moment, but I still enjoyed the BBQ.
As usual, we couldn't finish the food as Arthur bought $130++ worth of food excluding drinks and tibits which was taken care of by me. Once again, we played Connect-7, with the last 2 players eating some of the food as forfeit. The game lasted till 4am and I had 4 cans of beer. For the first time, I didn't lose as pathetic as I did for the past few bbqs... Hee hee
A great BBQ, as I get to meet new people.

Little Miss Sunshine
This post is long overdue as it should have been published on 7th October 2006, a saturday where I met up with Kah Wai, Xin Yan, Li Ling and Kelvin for a movie session. Hasn't really been in any mood to update my blog till today (17th October 2006).
Initially we had plans to watch Death Note or Stay Alive, but as it hasn't screened, we settled for "Little Miss Sunshine", a film that I recommended and liked! =) We met for lunch at 1pm in Plaza Singapura Subway, as we couldn't get any seats, we decided to have Moss Burger instead.
Personally, I enjoyed the movie alot... Interesting direction and plot, yet heart-warming. I highly recommend my friends to watch it, though I know many people will not like it... just like the 2 ladies that watched the show with us... Hee hee. =Þ

Too tired to blog properly, and the stupid site has been losing connection so frequently (due to updates and changes for Blog beta) that it really pisses me off. Shall keep my blog simple and short until I'm really in the mood to type. =Þ
Has been listening to this song for quite some time but didn't really like it... Until I read the lyrics today and found it simple and sweet, yet captivating. Was looking through the lyrics when I came across one particular phrase in the chorus that makes me tear: "...你说不该再相见只为了瞬间, 谢谢你让我听见, 因为我在等待永远..." The whole chorus was magnificantly written but this particular phrase really got me...
Composed and written by Jay Chou himself, this song makes him likes him even more. Man, he is so talented! =D

PIC
I suppose having slacking for several months has really pissed Hao Xin off... and he has been dumping me with some microcontroller stuffs to learn. Still, I wasn't really putting in any effort and slacking at home. Today was the last straw and he asked me to go down to his office to help him implement some interrupt routines for his project.
He jio-ed me an early breakfast at Jackson centre for roti-prata before we proceed to his office. I had no experience in Microcontroller and the last time I did a similar work was back in NTU during one of the lab's project. Spent the whole morning trying to figure out the commands for the compiler, the register settings and the bits to enable some of the configurations.
I was suppose to implement an interrupt routine for the microcontroller such that when any key was pressed on the keyboard, the input will be displayed onto a LCD through a serial port. After going through some crash course on the registers, implementing the interrupt was pretty easy and I managed to complete it in the early afternoon. Went for a tea break around 4pm before I helped him out on a satelite project. Didn't do much as I was more like a helper, carrying the cables and equipments around. It was really really interesting and I had a really productive day after so many weeks of slacking. =)

The Banquet
Tennis session in the morning at Season's Park... played rather badly today due to lack of sleep. Slept for only 3 hours and woke up in the morning at 6 to get ready. I thought that the game was early, so I reached at around 7.30 am, only to realize my friend had scheduled it at 9 am. Well, need not feel bad for me though... I spent time at the roof-top napping where there are wooden chairs amidst some potted plants under the shelter of trellis... It feels like I'm basking in the cool morning sun in a miniature sky garden. =)
Went to Junction 8 Coffee Bean n Tea Leaves in the afternoon to study. Tried their Oreo Cheesecake for the first time, and I would say its 'ok' only. Took a walk around, shopping for shoes before we proceed to the cinema.

The movie was surprisingly nice, opposed to the comments that I heard from my other friends. Most of them found it boring, but I think it was really nice and I enjoyed the movie. =)

John Tucker Must Die
Yea, another weekend coming up... though currently slacking, I always loved Friday. Went to Sim Lim Tower to shop for some electronics stuffs. After buying all the required stuffs, we walked from Sim Lim Tower to City Hall mrt station, stopping by at Macs opposite Raffles Hotel for Mc Flurry =) before I head off to meet Ivan for dinner.
It has been more than 2 months since I met up with him and Jia Lin... As Jia Lin will be late, we walked around in Orchard... went to Borders at Wheelock, sat for a drink at Coffee Bean before meeting up with her. We decided to have dinner at Wheelock Place as suggested by Jia Lin... An exquisite dining place known as Sun with Moon Japanese Dining & Cafe located at the third storey of Wheelock Place.
It wasn't easy to get seats without prior reservations and we waited for more than an hour before the waiter allocate one for us. The restaurant decoration was top notch though... and the food was served pretty fast. I had the chicken kamameshi which tasted really good... followed by a dessert that we shared. Its some green-tea ice cream parfait (forgot the name) which I highly recommend! It comes with different layers of ice-cream, sponge cake, red bean paste and cornflakes which surprisingly complements very well, tasting really really good. =D For drinks, please dont ever order the vitamins thingy drink that costs S$6.00... it taste exactly like Fruit tree juices that you can buy outside. The dinner was great though and thank you Ivan for the treat. =)
We decided to catch a late night movie after dinner as there wasn't much we can do... considering that KTV is out of the question with my croaking throat.
Took a train down to Dhoby Ghaut to get the 11pm tix. Having time to spare, I suggested going to the arcade and ended up trying my luck at those UFO Catcher or Grab-O-Matic machines (those with robotic arms to get soft toys) on Patrick Star... Damn, it looks so fat and cute... Ha ha.
A chic-flic that I looked forward to watching... John Tucker Must Die... Ha ha.

And oh yah, forgot some thing that I forgot to add, we went for supper at Upper Thomsom after the movie. Didn't order anything as I didn't want to get fatter. Had 2 cups of tea and Ivan sent us home after that. Thank you once again. =)
Some of you guys must be thinking that I'm crazy to recommend this song... Its actually an old song sung by Chen Long. I'm surprised that I listen to it too... but after a few loops, its actually quite catchy. What draws me to this song was the lyrics, it sounds so patriotic and loyal... full of integrity, and I loved the line... "... 不喊冤 也不求饶, 对情谊我肯弯腰..." Must be the fever that fried my brains... Yes, sad to say, I fell sick the day after my birthday. Actually, my throat already feel sort of funny on Tuesday... but it worsen after that... Only got better after I went to see the doc yesterday.
Anyway... here's the lyrics of the song. =)

Gathering of the Pigs 2
Hee hee, why do I name this blog of mine with a "2" at the end..?
Actually, there was this post with the same title back in the early days when I started blogging. (If I remembered correctly... the article with this title was my very second post.)
True enough, it was dated June 2005... and it goes to show that the 4 of us haven't seen each other together for more than a year. Was scanning through all my posts and felt really silly with some of them. Ha ha, maybe years from now, I will be laughing at what I'm typing today if I still have the habit of blogging... But I guess it would be quite interesting. This Blog was meant to be a journal... to help me remember the happy times, sad happenings and memorable events. A good way to see my growth over the years... Well, even right now, there are still tons of stuffs for me to learn... To learn to be a better person, to cope with different things, and to learn things that will be useful for my career. =)
Anyway, with this blog title... it could only mean 1 thing. I'm meeting my group of JC close friends from Chinese Cultural Society, to sort of meet up and have my birthday meal.. The 4 of us used to call ourselves "The Pigs" and the story goes all the way back.
We schedule to meet 2.30 pm at Plaza Singapura, but the 2 ladies were late... so me and Boon Cheong waited for them at Macs. We decided to have our late lunch at Manhattan Fish Market. First time I ate there and I would say its quite good... I had Fish n Chips and tropical breeze. From the topic of our conversation, I could literally feel the change in ourselves, our topic has over matured over the years. In the past, its always about school work, gossips about classmates or teachers, we then moved on to talking about gers, guys and relationships, about work, and today about housing, money and kids, ha ha. At the back of the restaurant was a projector showing different breeds of marine animals that you'll get to see during diving... another sign hinting me that I should go for my diving trip. Probably not so soon though as October is the start of the monsoon season, and I will have to wait for another 3-6 months.
After lunch, we went to Secret Recipe for dessert and I had a cup of Oreo Milkshake. We walked around Daiso for a short while before bidding farewell to each other. We each had plans for the night and mine was to meet up with Wei Wen and gang to celebrate his birthday. Was still early so I accompanied Felicia and her cousins to go shopping at Marina Square before heading back to Parklane around 7 pm.
Was walking to Paradiz centre when Kah Wai caught me and dropped me a message, which I realize only after a few games at the arcade. He was sitting with his friends in one of the pubs opposite Parklane to watch Liverpool's match and happen to see me walk past.
10 of us... Wei Qiang, Wei Wen, Melvin, Vincent, Wen Hao, KC, MK, Yong Kang, SY and me decided to meet up and play DotA at Parklane to sort of celebrate Wei Wen's birthday. We played for 6 games till 2 am before calling it a "day", ha ha. Out of the 6 games we played, I was lucky enough to won 4 of them, and it indeed a fun and enjoyable night. =)
Time to sleep... Another day without studying... gonna get scolded by someone...

P.S.
Went out to meet a friend of mine today... Its been quite some time since we met up and she decided to treat me for dinner, as a present for my coming birthday. We went to Swensen at Orchard for dinner, had a drink at Starbucks before deciding to catch a movie at Cathay Cineleisure.
There wasn't much choices when we reached the cineplex at 9 pm... as there were either no available seats, or I wasn't really interested in the Horror movies that are screening currently. As "John Tucker Must Die" and "The Banquet" has been reserved and requested some time next week by my other friends, we decided to settle for a movie titled "P.S."
I would say its quite an interesting movie... controversial contents and storyline, but overall enjoyable. =)

Waiting For You...
Life...
Have you ever have the feeling of seeing someone or a person as an ordinary person or friend... Until, perhaps due to certain events, you look at him / her in a different perspective. (in a positive manner)... but instead of a person, I'm referring to a song.
Okay, I'm just being crappy and what I just mentioned could be a lousy analogy and not make any sense... but then again, many things I say don't make sense anyway.
There was this song that my close friend, Hao Xin recommended to me last year. Back then, it wasn't the slightest bit catchy to me and I didn't really pay attention to it. Until recently, I overheard it on the radio... Was walking around when the song was aired, and I would say it was played at the instance when I was most happy due to a series of memorable events... and the song somehow became irresistible.
Its amazing how some stuffs that was insignificant to began with, could meant so much at a later time, making us falling in love with it all over again...

Moral Education?
A couple of events that happened recently makes me ponder about some of the moral values that I learnt since young. Here goes... I have a friend whose roommate is having an affair with a married lady. Her husband often goes on business trips and this lady would stay over at the other guy's place. And when the lady goes overseas, the guy would follow her. Personally, I feel its atrocious and I really despise both the cheater and the third party in a marriage. Also, there were several times when I saw male teenagers secretly taking photos / videos of gers on public transport. How sick / desperate are these perverted scoundrels? Actually I do have few friends who do this too, taking pictures of ladies secretly, but I know they meant no harm and I'm more tolerant towards my friends... But still, I feel that humans should learn to treat each other with respect.
What has happened to all the moral education that we went through when we were kids? Where has all the right values gone in humanity? Does humans have no shame at all? Perhaps I'm the only one thinking this way... Perhaps its time I follow the trend...
I'm missing out on all the fun while lots of people are out there "partying", creating havoc in each other lives. Perhaps instead of being the victim in this sinful cynical play, why dont I write my own script..? Instead of being the puppet that is being manipulated around, why not let me be the puppeteer that has the control..?
We all can differentiate between whats wrong and whats right... Pardon me for generalizing, but I believe many people would succumb to temptations. Though I can proudly say that I have always choose the right path or do what is supposedly correct. I'm now having second thoughts living my life the "correct" way. How do we define "correct" behaviour nowadays? Why bother living it this way when there's no punishment for doing the wrong things. In fact, people will judge you if you live an honest lifestyle. Perhaps in this era, the definition of right and wrong has become fuzzy.
... Just some thoughts anyway...
Okay, on another topic. There was this girl that I knew recently. I wouldn't call her a friend... its more like an acquaintance as I do not know her directly. She is actually my friend's landlord. I met her a couple of times when I went to visit my friend and she made a comment that I was too "dao" (a local slang for cold or proud) and dont take initiative to know her. This happened one time back in Uni Year 1 when I was living with James in Hall 13. James's classmates came over to our room to discuss some projects and I just kept to myself and the ger said I was "dao" and unfriendly... Okay, I do admit that I dont take initiative to know people, but thats me. If I dont want to know you then let it be lor... If you want to know me badly then you can take initiative one mah... no need to make such comments. But well... I guess I should change too, its time to open up more.

Save Yourself
Was sitting at cineleisure cafe when this trailer caught my attention. Its a cool movie about a few high school kids with special powers and bloodline abilities. However, the more they use their powers, the more it weakens them. The story evolves around revenge, where one of the banished family member seeks revenge among the descendants of those with powers.
I think this would be a very good movie... though similiar in plot as one of the movies in 1996 "The Craft"... I believe this would be a hit. =)
Below are some screenshots that I took from the trailer...

Another thing that caught my attention in the Trailer was the song. Its actually a song in the 1980s... 1989 to be exact. Nice song. =)

Singer : Stabbing Westward
Title : Save Yourself
I know your life is empty
And you hate to face this world alone
So you're searching for an angel
Someone who can make you whole
I cannot save you
I can't even save myself
So just save yourself
I know that you've been damaged
Your soul has suffered such abuse
But I am not your savior
I am just as fucked as you
I cannot save you
I can't even save myself
So just save yourself
Please don't take pity on me
Please don't take pity on me
Please don't take pity on me
Please don't take pity on me
My life has been a nightmare
My soul is fractured to the bone
And if I must be lonely
I think I'd rather be alone
I think I'd rather be alone
You can not save me
You can't even save yourself
I can not save you
I can't even save myself
Save yourself
So just save yourself

*Initially had typed a really detailed post abt my week and fantastic Sunday... but the stupid site has to screw up while I was posting. The contents were lost and I'm too lazy to type everything again... So pardon me for the summarized post...*
Was walking around sometime during this week when I decided to go CD-Rama to take a look at the latest albums, and came across the pre-sale version of Jay Chou's latest album. Spent S$18.95 and bought his album which comes with a free cool looking poster. =)
However, when I collected the album on the 10th... I wasn't really impressed with the songs inside. Somehow, I felt that the previous 2 albums were much better than this one. I brought the cd to my friend's house and played it over the stereo... It didn't impress me initially, but I'm glad that the songs became more catchy after looping it several times. I wasn't a great fan of Fei Yu Qing (detest would be a word to use)... but the main song 千里之外 somehow slightly change my opinion towards him... slightly only, I still dont like him. Ha ha.
Had one of the best sunday ever at my friends place. Initially we have plans to study in the living room. Somehow we got tired and decided to take a nap. =Þ Ordered pizza for lunch and tried to study during the afternoon. Though it rained heavily in the afternoon, we still decided to go for a short session of tennis. Not a very productive day I would say... but I thoroughly enjoyed the whole of today... =D

Monster House
Was suppose to meet my fren for movie at night, but he has a soccer match before that. As I had a meeting at Gateway in the afternoon and it ended ard 4pm... I had a meal with Kelvin at Bugis before going down to Tanglin Fields to meet my fren. As I wasn't sure of the place, I checked the map on the internet before going down. I reached Napier road at around 5.30pm... but the fields were nowhere to be found. The map wasn't helpful as it was outdated and there were many construction along that area. Even residents around that area wasn't sure of the location of the fields. To complicate matters, there were several new street names along the winding fork routes. It was only with the help of a kind uncle who happened to be jogging there that showed me the way. I found the fields only around 6.50pm... 10mins before the end of their game...
From producer Robert Zemeckis and Steven Spielberg... yes, we went to watch "Monster House"! I would say its quite an interesting movie. Nice animation, cute characters and smooth flow of storyline with twist, humour and abit of spookiness. =)

We didn't have dinner, just cake for dinner at the Coca Cola Cafe (Didn't notice the name of the cafe) at the fifth floor of Cineleisure. Not bad... but not the best that I've eaten.

Claire

Roller Blade!
Woohoo! Its Sunday again and today we had plans to go East Coast Park for roller blading. Met up with Hao Xin at Toa Payoh at around 2pm before we head to East Coast Park. Reached there at around 3pm, the supposedly specified meeting time... but Arthur and gang was late. When we called them, they were still driving along Jurong area. They reached around 3.30pm and we deposited our valuables in his car.
Its been ages since I last blade. They all have their own blades and I had to rent mine. Was queueing for the roller blades when I realize Joycelyn was infront of me! She is now working in Citibank... I didn't really had the chance to chat with her after I graduated. It's always nice to bump into old friends. =) After paying for the rented shoes, I was so excited getting myself into them that I gripped the shoelace so hard that it cut my little finger. Luckily a hot babe in bikini was kind enough to offer me tissues. =)
Cindy was the only one who couldn't blade very well and poor Bob had to accompany her and teach her. Arthur was better but have more room for improvements... =Þ so Hao Xin and me just blade at our own pace cruising our way to Section A of East Coast Park. I stopped by the Jetty and went to enjoy the sea breeze... I've always loved the seaside, watching the horizon, enjoying the rythmic music of waves hitting the break-water, a pity I don't do this often cos its too far and I'm too lazy to make the trip down. Ha ha.
As I reached Section A of the park, I was reminded of the night cycling trip that I had with my Army mates (Kelvin, U-Xuan, Cheng Yong, Seng Boon and Daryl). We rented our bikes at Bishan Park that fateful night, and I lead them all the way to East Coast Park Section A, bashing through some forrested vegetation, a very desolated route not known by many. Its an isolated shortcut linking East Coast Park to Kallang area. As it was too dark that night, I missed a turn and mislead them to a swampy area the first try. Poor Seng Boon who was the garang one infront, unfortunately had his shoes stuck in mud, and he to threw them to buy a pair of slippers when we reached ECP. Well, section A of ECP is pretty different now.
At one point of blading, Cindy needed to go to the washroom. Ignoring advice from Bob, she took of her blades and went to the washroom with her socks on. When she came out, her socks were wet and dirty and she couldn't wear her roller blades back. We decided to call it a day and head back to our starting point. However, it was abit far... so Cindy decided to carry the roller blades in her arms and ran all the way back with only socks on her feet. It was a pretty hilarious sight and I overheard someone saying, "Look, Its the Amazing Race!..." Ha ha. Sorry for posting this here... hee hee. =Þ
We rested at Mac Donalds before heading to a Hong Kong Dim Sum Cafe along Marine Parade. Wasn't really familiar with the place, and thus couldn't state the shop and street name. The food there taste good though. Yes, as usual... I was forced to finish 2 of the chicken drumlet. Argh...!
End of day... Below are some shots I took at the Jetty using my handphone. Couldn't use my camera as I dont feel safe carrying it around while blading.

These are some shots that Hao Xin took, using my camera while on the bus towards East Coast Park. =)
