Woke up feeling damn tired this morning... only to realize that my mother gave me a morning call at a ridiculous time of 7am this morning, asking me to get ready for today's Photo shoot. =( She was so excited about today's event that she has been mentioning and nagging about it for the past few days. Heeding the advice of my buddy, I told my parents that we should go down earlier. Luckily, we were the 1st to arrive and a couple of minutes later, there were other customers.

Took some shots around Riverwalk before heading to Esplanade to meet my Aunt for another round of photo taking.

Sister's Convocation

Its been a while since I last updated my blog...

The Microsoft BizTalk Server training ended yesterday and the team has to return to DBS in the coming week. The whole training phase was really fun considering that the schedule was quite slack, taught at a very slow pace. Fighting against the Z-monster and munching away at the biscuits during the break-time was pretty much I did. The location of the training center (Avantus) is more convenient compared to DBS since its located at Raffles Place. Best part of the training is attending the Course with my Buddy and we usually leave around 5 plus... Hee hee =Þ Did a little window shopping and had dinner with Ivan at Orchard yesterday, the last day of the training. Haiz, if only the training was a few days/weeks longer. Ha ha

Today happens to be my Sister's Convocation Day, however I stayed at home and played games. No point going down cos their school allowed only 1 guests into the auditorium and the rest are to remain outside the compound...

Went to meet U-Xuan at Toa Payoh in the evening to return him Economics Notes I borrowed last semester.

Third Day

It's been a while since I last create a post, not that I have nothing to write though... In fact, its been the 3rd day since my buddy join me at my workplace. Its really great and fun to have him around. Nothing to write its not an excuse because working with him is "happening" and jokes plentiful... =Þ

Workload at the moment is still the same... but stress is definitely increasing. Getting more weary as the days goes by and no amount of sleep seems to be sufficient. Really makes me think of going back to study. Hmm, its an option... something that's I've been considering...

Looking forward to next week BizTalk Server Training. Guess it will come in very handy and useful in years to come. =)

Walking...

It was another typical day at work until early afternoon after lunch when my boss brought me to Headquarters of Reuters at OUB Building (located at Raffles Place)... we walked all the way there from DBS Tower to get some installation discs for Visual Studio. As I reached the headquarters located on the 55th storey, I was awed by the view as I peered out of the window. (okay... 'awed' may be too strong a word, but the view is really fantastic) I had a bird's eye view of the CBD, city area, piers, sea, etc... If only I have such a workplace someday, hee hee.

Went to meet Hao Xin at night cos he returning me my convocation gown... The agreed time to meet was 8.30 pm. However, there wasn't much work to do so I left early... Took a slow stroll from Tanjong Pagar to Lau Pa Sat before heading to Raffles place... walked over to One Fullerton and crossed a bridge to Esplanade... wandered into City Link before I reach City Hall... enjoying the buzy night scene of the city all the while.

Yes, 'enjoy' is the word... I always liked to spend time alone, walking and going different places observing people and happenings around me. It gives a calming effect, charging my life with inspiration as I give personal time to myself.... Its a form of relaxation to me, enjoying the cool night breeze and giving myself time to ponder over stuffs or just day dream. Of cos having a company would be great, but I have yet to meet a friend that actually enjoys walking around aimlessly with me, killing time by simply doing nothing but walk...

After I met HX, we had a drink at Coffe Bean before we decided to head home... =)

Lousy Earphones

Creative product is so LOUSY, recently just changed my faulty remote control thinking that I could once again enjoy listening to mp3 when travelling... but alas, the earphone has to spoil today... with only 1 side working now... sianz, have to go down to Jurong and exchange a new earphone once again... =(

Hee hee, had Cheese pratas for lunch again... hmm, maybe this can explain why I nose bled recently.

Suppose to meet my friend for movie, "Fantastic 4" this evening after work. However, the server required for the project arrived in the late afternoon and I had to stay back to set it up and install the OS... I left at around 7.30pm, not only had I missed the movie, I had to hang around till the movie ends cos I'm passing my convocation gown to my friend... The movie ended at 9.30pm, and I spent bulk of the time listening to songs at HMV. Though I waited for almost 2 hours, it wasn't that bad as I managed to listen to quite a few albums like Backstreet Boys, Cold Play, Initial-D OST and Li Jiu Zhe just to name a few.

Realize that there are so many simple IT stuffs that wasn't taught in school... Can't blame the school, just feel that I'm becoming a passive learner... hmm, really makes me wonder why I studied this course when I don't take the initiative to read up more.

Convocation 2005

Finally, the day of graduation has arrived... though its supposedly to be an happy occasion, emotions kinda mixture of joy with tinge of sadness. It has been 4 years of my life well spent... enriching me not only in knowledge but in many other areas. Most importantly, I've meet many people and made many great friends. Gonna missed them..!!!

Quite a hectic day though, the auditorium was crowded with graduates and guests... So hard to find friends to take photos with...

Idiotic Kay-po Uncle

Quite a bad day to start with... woke up with a really bad migraine... its unbearable and did not subside even after popping two Panadol extra. It only got better after resting for an hour on the bed, could not sleep cos the pain is really splitting my head.

As it got better, I went for a haircut... after which I went to Toa Payoh Stadium to 'change coins'. Friends who knows me well enough knows that I have a habit of changing my 50c, 20c or 10c coins to $1 coins using vending machines, as they are easier to keep and count. As I was changing halfway... An idiotic, kay-po man in his forties came and reprimanded me, asking me if I was changing illegal money. CRAP! He could have asked nicely what I was doing. I was really pissed then with my head still spinning, luckily I kept my cool and chosed to ignore him, else things might have turned ugly. Not sure if I should thank that idiotic uncle... the incident sort of cured my migraine...

Went for a Uni-gathering at Orchard... first met Ivan at MRT before heading down to Orchard to meet Kah Wai and Tze Sen. Its great to see them again (though met with them not long ago)... will be seeing them during Convocation again, hee hee. =)

We went to the food court at Scotts to have dinner before walking down to Cuppage to play pool. Since it's saturday, naturally its hard to find a vacant table to play pool, thus we went to play Warcraft instead. Ha ha, its fantastic considering its my 1st time playing DotA with them. Played two games in all, first time with the 'kids' in the LAN shop, second time was 2v2 among ourselves. Wanted to get a drink at coffe club but once again, its crowded with people... (damn, I guessed wrongly that there will be empty seats, making a fruitless trip to Paragon), we ended up at the BK at Cineleisure... Had a meal and some drinks before we decided to call it a day...

Had a really great time, first day of relaxation on the 1st weekend since I started working... =)

Its Friday... Yea!

Creating my posts for today while in the office... ha ha. Played DotA again last night for the first time since I started working. Getting used to the routine of travelling, working and sleeping... Its time to stress test my bio clock and see if I can survive with lesser hours of sleep... if this works out, I can work in the day and play games at night... Ha Ha. Played 2 games yesterday, lost the first one (cos I picked the wrong char by pressing the wrong shortcut key)... but we managed to win the second game.

My colleague's boyfriend just passed away recently... trying my best to keep her happy by talking crap, I'm not very good at comforting people, but most importantly, I know that she prefer us not to probe... Something that I've learnt from her... she is a very strong lady keeping her emotions away from work and remains very professional...

Hmm... Its still early, but I shall start work now... =)

So tired... obviously the stress test failed. Almost doze off a few times during work... (but then, nobody was around then... so bored with only me around). Was sleeping when *someone* called and woke me up.. ha ha.. so post something before I go and sleep... Tmr wake up and edit this posts again...

IQ Quiz

As I was walking towards my work place from Tanjong Pagar MRT station, somebody tapped at my shoulder... ha ha, turned out to be Boon Cheong. He's working at Capital Tower which happens to be very near my work place. So great to know that there are friends working around there... hee hee.

My Boss asked me 2 questions today, one is adult themed so I shall not mention the question here. The other question was:

"There's 2 room which is separated by a wall (not able to see the other room). In one room there's 3 switches and in the other, there's 3 light bulbs. So how can you differentiate which switch is to which bulb by just making 1 trip to the other room?"

I only managed to give a very good (but not the most logical answer) reply... haiz, but only to realize how silly I was when he told me the answer... damn. lol

Went to sim lim square after work to help my boss get USB cables and a 16 port switch for our server. Not a very long day today, I'm feeling tired but very happy. The working environment is good, have an excellent boss, great and friendly colleagues (there's only 3 of us now...ha ha), good pay and there are several chio bus that's only 1-3 years younger than me. Hee hee... Really enjoy working there now, hope it stays the same as time goes by. =Þ

风雨同舟献真心

Hmm, for those of you who watch TV during the prime time... you all should notice an advertisement for the "NKF 风雨同舟献真心"... There is this particular one casting Chew Chor Meng (as Lobang King) answering a call, the funny thing is he answered it using both his mobile phone and ear-piece. (not a norm when people are using the ear-piece... hee hee). Will add-on to this post later tonight.

*Yawn*... knocked-off at 7.30pm today, cos I was waiting for my boss to go. We went off together and had dinner at one of the Hawker at Amoi street. Damn, spent $25+ just on meals today (lunch and dinner)... if this continues, I will get broke very soon... Today is only the second day of work but I feeling really really really freaking tired. Not used to having no nap in the afternoon. Imagine the agony of fighting the Z-monster... 1 reason is that its quite boring now, nobody to talk to and people in my team are always at meeting, leaving me alone to read some specifications. Good news for today... there's no need for me to wear formal anymore cos I can choose to work in T-shirts and jeans... yea.

Not really in the mood to continue... shall go and sleep. =Þ

War Of The World

Hmm... the first day at work wasn't that bad, all that was required of me is to do some reading up on some documents and materials that is necessary for the implementation of the project that I'm involved. Can't say the same once the project starts cos its gonna be a huge project. For now, I have quite a deal of stuffs to read, and there's many technical terms and acronym to remember...

Sneak out in the afternoon at around 1.15pm to meet Ivan... ha ha (can't let my boss know this man... but actually its approved, ha ha.). We met for lunch at BK (had some misunderstanding before this... =Þ) before heading to Creative at Jurong cos I wanted to exchange my faulty remote control (for my zen) since its still under warranty. The queue at the customer care center was surprisingly long for a monday afternoon, something which we both din expect... felt as though I was waiting at a clinic. Either their products spoil easily or I'm damn suay... hee hee.

Anyway, we did some shopping before catching "War Of The World" at Bugis at around 1710 hrs. I've always liked and supported Tom Cruise movies, think he is suave and cool and it was his Birthday yesterday. Ha ha... Not too bad a movie, but was still kinda dissapointing and definitely not worth watching it during the weekends. The ending was kinda gay and abrupt.

It was kinda a great day man, felt so good to meet up with my buddy on a weekday... a luxury that is not possible for the next few months.

Feel really tired now, its been quite some time since I utilize my brains cells... have to go back to company and mug again tomorrow... Will sleep soon once I'm done formatting my laptop...

Time Is Running Out

Time's running out. Its 2311 hrs now... going to sleep soon. I can foresee myself losing sleep, I feel as though I'm back to my secondary school days... always losing sleep the night before school reopens. Haiz, joining the corporate society tmr... =(

Played 1 last game of DotA earlier on... hope I still will have time for games after work. Shall know everything by tomorrow.

Cookies n Cream

Time's running out... days of slacking are coming to an end. Have to start working tomorrow, haiz... :'(

Travelled quite alot today. Went all the way to Bukit Gombak to meet a friend for breakfast... Friends are very important to me, and I always believe that to remain genuine and to keep in touch, it requires initiative from either parties. That's why I always like to jio my close friends out for meals. =) Went to meet Melvin at Pickles Cafe in the afternoon for lunch. Shared a cab at around 1540 hrs to Toa Payoh cos he happens to be meeting his family there.

Learnt how to make "Cookies n Cream Ice Blended" today, share the recipe here with you all.

Cookies n Cream Ice Blended Recipe

• 4 ounces of Fresh Milk
• 1 1/2 Spoon of Vanilla Powder
• 1 1/4 Cup of Ice
• 2 Pieces of Oreo Biscuits

Place all of them into a Blender and mix well. That's all that is needed for one serving of yummy Ice Blended. Feel free to top it with whip cream, hershey choc syrup, etc... =Þ

The Lizard

Was watching "Threat Matrix" during the afternoon when I received a call from my prospective boss-to-be... He finally confirmed my job application and wanted me to start work coming Monday... so soon and unexpected, I'm not mentally and physically prepared at all. Physically in the sense that I have been slacking all the while with unpredictable sleep times, mentally in the sense that I've lost touch with the momentum to work since the end of exams. Haiz... hopefully I will not doze off whilst working and can pick up the pace asap cos I do not want to dissapoint my boss.

Met up with him at 0730 after receiving his call. He asked me out for a drink at one of the bar located at Boat Quay..."The Lizard". Drank several cups of whisky mixed with soda water, hee hee, luckily I can hold liquor well. After the drink, we went to have prata at one of the nearby stalls before I took MRT home with blushed face and blood-shot eyes. (I'm not drunk, but I get red easily... even with a sip of liquor)

Was chatting with my mum at night... long time since I chatted with my mother and we talked for a really long time (approximately an hour I guess) and we came across the topic of religion, something that my family never liked to talk about. Surprisingly, she was more than willing to share her views with me tonight... Its actually 1:21am as I'm finishing typing this posts but I let the date remain at the time I started typing...

Getting tired... turning in for the night. =)

July 1st

Enjoying the soft breeze accompanied by some of my favourite ballads from MLTR as I typed this post... My minds not really at ease... Rather, I can feel the melancholy in the wind, as though I'm anticipating the outbreak of something bad with several thoughts ruminating my mind... Well, I guess its the songs that I'm listening to...

Its the first day of the month and today happens to be SAF Day. I always loved the 1st day of each month because there's always something to look forward to... the chimes of bells that is sounded islandwide at 12 noon sharp. (Not sure how many of you gers/guys took noticed of that...)

Hmm, seems like each posts of mine is getting shorter and shorter. Losing the momentum to create long and poetic posts... not that I'm losing interests, most probably not in the mood or lack of inspirations. Hee hee... But I haven't been doing much lately... haven't been playing games for a couple of days too... guess its time to change this daily blogging habit of mine to perhaps a blog per 2-3 days..? (Unless I went out or there's specific events that I wish to jot down... No blog implies boring day at home! lol)

Oh yah... the two cats that my sister and me was "baby-sitting" had been sent home today...
